Kate Edmonds

Kate is accredited as a Master Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation, the leading standards and accreditation body for coaches worldwide. She has nine years experience of coaching and facilitating executives and organizations.

Kate is passionate about helping to facilitate culture change to create 'high performance with humanity'. She has a particular talent for developing senior leaders, especially those who are new into a role or facing particular challenges. Her coaching enables them to develop and draw on their unique and authentic leadership qualities, to step up to a new level of challenge and to do so with the confidence to reach new heights of success. At the same time, her approach helps executives find greater meaning in their work and greater balance in their lives.

She draws on the principles of Emotional Intelligence to encourage clients to see themselves and their world more clearly, enabling them to manage themselves and their teams more effectively to greater success. Her coaching style is insightful, intelligent and yet conversational, putting clients at ease, yet the impact is profound and lasting as clients open to see themselves and the power they have in their life and work in new ways.

Kate's background is in management in the automotive and publishing industries, where for 12 years she was involved in international marketing strategy, advertising and training, working for Honda's European strategic HQ and a division of McGraw-Hill Publishing for much of this time. Prior to this, she had three years in industrial and academic research. Immediately before becoming a coach, she ran her own strategic marketing consultancy working internationally with blue chip clients, including Chrysler, Jeep and Mitsubishi.

Kate coaches clients all over the world, including executives in organizations as diverse as IBM, Boeing, EDF, Coca Cola, Dow Chemicals, T-mobile, Unilever, Wells Fargo, PwC, Johnson & Johnson, Goldman Sachs and the University of London.

She co-created the Firework Career Transition process and has facilitated hundreds of coaches - in the UK and the US - in learning to use the process.

Kate has experienced many different coach trainings, including with the Coaches Training Institute, the Academy of Executive Coaching (Psychology of Coaching and Gestalt coaching), Newfield Network and the Strozzi Institute. She is a certified and experienced NLP Practitioner and a Certified Cultural Transformation Tools Consultant with the Barrett Values Centre. Kate holds a BA Hons in English and Comparative Literature.
